“You get what you pay for.”  In business, we know this to be true because we’ve learned it the hard way.  It is a rare moment when something really good comes along that is high value and is free.  Take note, this is one of those moments.  If you have a business with revenues over $100,000 and you are ready to dig in and grow it, the Goldman Sachs Foundation is offering its 10,000 Small Businesses program in NH.

It is a “mini MBA” designed in conjunction with Babson College, a national leader in entrepreneurship,  offering a 10-week crash course that offers existing businesses new business skills, a powerful network and the confidence to take your business to the next level.  Thirty business owners will be selected to participate in the NH project and it is our sincere hope that the Monadnock region will be well represented in this group – it is a great way to grow our local economy.

To date the $500 million 10,000 Small Businesses program has served more than 7,600 small businesses across the country.  “The return on investment is these business owners create jobs in their communities,” said Katherine Colsher, a managing director at Goldman Sachs and the national director of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses initiative.

We would love to see these skills and this job growth come to the small businesses of our region.  If you have been in business for more than two years, have revenue of $100,000 or more, have two employees or more, and are ready to commit to growing your company, we encourage you to apply.  Applications are due December 3, the first class held March 7 and ends May 18.  All you need to invest is your time.
