We are thrilled that Lisa Sieverts, founder and owner of Facilitated Change, has been selected Entrepreneur of the Year for the Monadnock Region. Lisa will be presented with the Entrepreneur of the Year award and recognized at our upcoming CONNECT 2013 Event, October 30, 2013, at Alyson’s Orchard in Walpole.
Lisa was the only tenant in the business incubator when Hannah Grimes took over the project in 2006. She was the very first person to look at that hidden gem, see the value, and take advantage of it. Lisa has an innate ability to see the hidden gem in everyone and add value. It is what has driven her success in business. Lisa is a true community wealth-builder: her business success, her personal integrity, and her active involvement in our region strengthens our local economy and adds to the overall quality of life in the area. Lisa is very deserving of this year’s Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Facilitated Change provides a variety of services for businesses and nonprofit organizations including Outsourced Project Management and Liquid Planner Coaching. Training topics include Agile Certified Practitioner Exam Preparation Courses and Traditional Project Management Training. The company’s clients include Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, the Hannah Grimes Center, Keene State College, Marlboro College Graduate School, Northeastern University and the Organic Trade Association.
“Project management is all about creating team success,” says Lisa. “The keys to that success, and my focus, are to help my clients make sure the goals of their projects are realistic and achievable given project constraints; that teams communicate regularly with management and avoid surprises by anticipating problems. I also believe that team accomplishments should be celebrated publicly and often.”
“I was so surprised to get the call letting me know I would be receiving this honor,” added Lisa. “I think of myself as just a small, one-person business. But Mary Ann told me that small firms like mine are vital for a strong local economy. I’m happy to accept this recognition on behalf of all of us.”
Lisa will receive the Entrepreneur of the Year award at our 8th annual CONNECT event. CONNECT is an annual celebration of the connections between business, the local economy and our community.
