Susan Hay, a part time Associate at the Hannah Grimes Center, has opened the doors to her new business, LaunchingU, which provides career coaching to college students, new graduates and early career professionals nationwide.
As Founder and Managing Partner with nearly two decades of experience as an executive search and human resource professional, Hay says, “It is so important to get young adults to think about their passions, and then teach them skills to make them strong, irresistible candidates in the job market.” Hay also works closely with the parents of college-age students to help them effectively support their children as they transition into the job market.
Hay is offering an introduction to her consulting work to parents of college students in a free 90-minute workshop:
Will My Child Get a Job After College Graduation? Practical Tips to Help Your Child Transition from College to Career
December 9th, 2013, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
The Hannah Grimes Center at 25 Roxbury St. in Keene (lower level)
The workshop, will address major concerns that many parents of college-aged children have today such as:
- “What will she do with a Sociology degree?”
- “My son doesn’t seem to know what he wants to do after graduation”
- “I don’t think her resume is strong but she shuts down if I try and talk with her about it”
The workshop will be led by Hay and her business associate Emily Porschitz, PhD, an Assistant Professor in the Management Department at Keene State College. There will also be ample time for questions and answers.
