Cheshire/Sullivan County's Mobile Poultry Processing Unit Training

The training is free, but limited to 12 people.

Trainer is Henry Thedford of Claremont, who sells pasture raised chicken at several local farmer's markets. Demonstration and hands-on experience, including clear instructions on how to clean the unit to avoid losing your $100 cleaning deposit. TRAINING REQUIRED for people who plan to rent the mpu. If you expect to have more than one person using the unit, the minimum requirement is that the person signing the rental contract come to the training.

Rental for the mpu is $35 for one day, $50 for two, for SBFNHmembers. If the renter is not a member, we will add the $15 membership fee to the first rental. This will cover membership for the remainder of 2011. There will not be any rentals to non-members. SBFNH, in cooperation with Stonewall Farm, will be putting on workshops throughout the year to teach basic skills of small farming operations.
