Lunch and Logos: What to Consider when Creating a Visual Identity

Join us for this lunch and learn with Ted Chartrand of Logo Further, LLC. Come to this workshop if you are looking to learn more about:

  • A logo’s key functions and objectives. (e.g.) conveying brand mission
  • What are the Essential branding questions to ask and understand when developing a logo. (e/g) differentiation from competition
  • Legal considerations that influence logo design decisions. (e.g.) infringement and commercial font use
  • Versatility to ensure future applications of your logo are not restricted by the design. (e.g.) company clothing, storefront signs, websites
  • Accessibility to enable all who view one’s logo to do so easily. (e.g.) clear imagery if one’s company primarily serves the elderly
  • Styling techniques to ensure one’s logo is unique and difficult for others to copy or infringe upon. (e.g.) ensuring the logo is specific enough to prevent another company from using the same icon
  • Tips and guidelines to help make one’s logo approachable and appealing.

About the Instructor

Ted started Logo Further LLC to enable businesses and entrepreneurs to create  meaningful, future-proof, and infringement-free logos that represent their brands. As a  logo designer, Ted approaches his craft with creativity and practicality in equal  measure, understanding that logos have function and purpose beyond appearance. 

Ted measures success in helping professionals avoid little-known legal and functional  pitfalls that can affect future logo usage and application. In sharing his design decision making, his goal is to demonstrate the importance of long-term thinking and strategic  planning to ensure a logo will accomplish everything it must for a business indefinitely. 

Ted has worked as a single-member LLC with commercial companies, non-profit organizations, competitive teams, freelancers, and others to address real business necessities with his practical design approach based around communication and  clarity.
