Jon Saccoccio, AIA, NCARB
With an architecture career spanning 10 years, Jon Saccoccio’s background includes an emphasis on community-oriented projects, ranging from housing to community function spaces to commercial/industrial. He believes that a successful project starts with building relationships with team members, clear communication, and organization. With a strong team foundation, inspirational and passionate design follows, resulting in a successful project. Jon has extensive experience guiding feasibility studies and has seen several projects through to completion.
His interest in the field focuses on how to merge design concepts with the pragmatism of implementing the ideas. He believes that practical knowledge of both architecture and construction will produce innovative, effective and enjoyable spaces. He executes this interest through design but also working in his shop, experimenting with ideas in design and wood-working assembly techniques.

Monadnock International Film Festival (MONIFF)
Recently named “Up and Coming Film Fest” by New Hampshire Magazine’s “Best of New Hampshire” issue, the Monadnock International Film Festival (MONIFF) showcases high quality independent cinema every April in the beautiful Monadnock Region. April 24-26, 2020 will mark the eighth year this annual festival will be held in Keene and Peterborough, NH.
MONIFF features award-winning films on the festival circuit, both domestic and foreign, along with premieres of regionally produced films by local filmmakers. Our mission is to celebrate independent films by offering audiences compelling stories from here at home and around the world, exposing them to diverse cultures and points of view. We screen both narrative and documentary feature films as well as short films in the historic 880-seat Colonial Theatre in downtown Keene and in the Putnam Theatre at Keene State College.
The highlight of our festival on Saturday night is the Jonathan Daniels awards ceremony, honoring Keene’s Civil Rights hero and given to a filmmaker who has made a film that fuses artistic excellence with awareness of social justice issues. At the Saturday night ceremony, we also give Audience Choice awards to Best Narrative Feature, Best Documentary Feature, and Best Short Film.
The Samaritans
The Samaritans is a resource to provide information about suicide; to educate others and raise awareness about suicide, and; to provide support to suicide survivors and those considering suicide. While referral to a licensed mental health provider or therapist is always the best option, there are those who are uncomfortable in traditional therapeutic environments or who cannot afford treatment. Those struggling with depression or thoughts of suicide may just need someone to listen, without judgement, and who can refer them to other support services.
The Samaritans Keene chapter was founded in 1981 by a local family, who lost their son to suicide. Samaritan volunteers answer confidential, anonymous crisis hotlines for people that are lonely, isolated depressed or suicidal.
